I’m a webdesigner and have been for almost 10 years. I studied Graphic Design and Advertising at West Thames College and prior to that completed my Foundation year at Chelsea Art College, London.
My first memory of wanting to be an artist was after watching Tony Hart on BB1, I was 5. Later I became fascinated with Marvel comics like alot of kids back when PSPs & Xboxes hadnt been invented and would copy scenes from Spiderman and Xmen all day. As I got older I was told that Art wouldn’t ever make me any money and I bought into that notion and went into design instead. I’m still a designer but I want to take my art further, I’m not sure I want to be a ’serious artist’ or one with a message. I just really enjoy what I can achieve with a blank surface and paint. I only recently started painting in May 2009 in oils.
I would like to study Fine Art and have some real training but right now its not possible due to my current job/career path. I’ve practically learnt everything I know about oil painting from visiting galleries and established artists’ websites.
This purpose of this blog is to showcase my work and also catalogue my development as an artist.
